Samsung to Introduce Galaxy S6 Edge
According to Sammobile, Samsung is planning to introduce dual-edge Samsung Galaxy S6 later in February. It will be using the similar interface as Galaxy Note Edge, but it may not be water resistant. The idea of introducing the dual-edge model is to provide a flexibility to users to chose between S6 Edge and Note Edge.
Samsung Galaxy S6 won’t be Water Resistant
Samsung introduced its first ever water resistant smartphone last year Galaxy S5, but Samsung Galaxy S5 was not a big success. Now Samsung is losing profits, they are planning not to add IP certification in their latest device. According to the experts, water resistant feature does not add up to overall sales of the smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy S6 won’t be using Qualcomm Snapdragon 810
LG has already announced to be using the latest Snapdragon 810 in LG G Flex 2, but Samsung is not planning to use the latest chipset. Samsung may use its own Exynos processor chipsets instead of Qualcomm Snapdragon 810. Moreover, some reports show that the new chipset has heating issues. Samsung will prefer to use its own chipset to make good profits and keep the cost of the smartphone low.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Release Date
According to Samsung’s senior official, company’s next flagship device to be introduced in March in MWC in Barcelona. Samsung is reportedly testing multiple prototypes of the device and nothing has been confirmed. According to the reports, Galaxy S6 will be completely redesigned. However, our senior reporter claims that it will be based on Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with metal body.
